New secretary Josie DeGrusha; minutes approved

III. Looking Forward

Web Committee: No update
Big Deep South (John): Next meeting Wednesday, October 4, 6:30pm at Central Office, then first Wednesday of every month; positions still need to be filled — Hospitality, Coffee, Themes still being discussed. Date set: June 7–9, 2024 at Hilton Airport

IV. GNOSB Vice Chair — Alexa M.

V. GNOSB Treasurer — Ray Y.

See Treasurer’s Report — all is balanced; thank you to Ray for working with the CPA

VI. Central Office Updates — Ken

Point of sale system being set up to Square
Need volunteers to learn the system to take card payments and answer phones
Email meeting reopening information, calendar updates, and virtual conference information to office@aaneworleans.org
October 2: Changing lines to ATT to be more efficient and decrease bill; Central Office phones may be temporarily down during switchover
Deadline for Bulletin submissions is the 15th of every month
Ken taking vacation first two weeks of November
Phone Hotline is looking for a volunteer Chair to keep it going; a few time slots still available

VII. DAAY in the Park — Don D. filling in

Scheduled for October 28, 10am–3pm at Bucktown Harbor Marina
Home groups encouraged to have a decorative table; costume contests; bounce house for kids, balloon clown, food and beverages provided by Central Office
Planning committee meets October 10 and 24 at Central Office at 6:30pm

VIII. District Reports

District 12 (Felix): Discussions on adding icons to online meeting listings for handicap accessibility, children allowed, child care, etc. — contact Central Office to have your meeting’s information added
District 17: 43rd Bayouland Jamboree is November 10–11 in Houma
District 18 (Keith): Will host a party in Gretna; working on fall dates
District 19: Filling open positions; come to District meeting 4th Tuesday of the month, 6:30pm at Unity Church
District 20: Elections October 2nd Thursday; also planning ahead for New Year’s Bash
Districts 21/23: Nothing to report
LAMDA: October 28, 6–9pm, St. Paul, 26624 Burgundy — Halloween Fun, Contest Galore; bring a Halloween dish

T&C — Scott

Donations of books, grapevines, and packets no longer being used can be brought to Central Office for T&C volunteers
