Welcome

Meeting called to order at 6:30pm by Jim R. with Serenity Prayer and introductions.

Officer Reports

  • Secretary (Rene’ M.): Motion to strike inaccurate financial reporting language from GNOSB Treasurer’s report in September 2025 minutes — passed unanimously; minutes approved
  • Treasurer (Charles H.): Merchandise sales have historically averaged $5,000/month — CPA confirms current figures are trending in line. Discussion on identifying patterns to determine which items are performing well. Although expenses have exceeded revenue so far, this is not an immediate concern as income is typically generated through Big Deep South and other contributions. Report accepted

Central Office Reports — Carolyn H.

  • Full report available on website
  • DAAY in the Park was successful despite the rain
  • Literature Table pop-up launched in collaboration with District 21’s Correction Workshop — hoping to do more events with districts, committees, and home groups
  • District Meeting book sales being explored to bring literature to home groups that cannot physically come to Central Office, and to start logistics for an online retail store
  • Meeting Guide App glitch from update has been corrected; also working on a temporary fix for a separate ongoing website glitch experienced by other intergroups as well
  • Sober Fest table will have printed literature, meeting list, and books
  • Motion to transfer $10,102.82 to Prudent Reserve to bring account balance in alignment with Bylaws parameters: seconded, passed with substantial unanimity

Old Business — Budget

  • Budget & Finance Committee (Patrick R.): Two budget proposals were presented; minor discrepancies identified; the more conservative estimate was selected. Committee agreed not to include substantial BDS income in recurring budget calculations to give a more accurate reflection of financial health. Despite large BDS contributions, losses have been increasing each year. Motion to approve 2025–2026 Budget Proposal: seconded, passed with substantial unanimity. Committee chair offered to review individual line items at weekly November meetings

Committee Reports

  • T&C (Anthony F.): Attendance good throughout the district. Working on guidelines and position descriptions; building folder with district maps and meeting information. Meetings on 2nd Wednesday of the month at Central Office, 6:30pm
  • Big Deep South: Theme will be “The Road of Happy Destiny.” Artwork submissions still needed. Website being updated. First fundraiser: Scary-Okey this weekend, 6–10pm, $10 suggested donation — speaker, costume contest, and karaoke. Hotel registration available soon. Voting on The Voice at December 3 meeting. Early bird pre-registration for November only. Motion to transfer $12,000 from BDS bank account as seed money for major pre-event expenses for BDS 2026: seconded, passed with substantial unanimity

New Business

  • Holiday Hours: Motion to shift schedule — Thursday, November 20, 2025 and Monday, December 15, 2025. Passed with substantial unanimity
  • Service Board Inventory: Insufficient time during monthly meetings to review June 2025 inventory results. Motion to host a monthly meeting dedicated to reviewing Service Board inventory results: passed with substantial unanimity

District reports were not taken due to budget discussion time constraints.

Motion to close at 7:39pm with circle and We version of Serenity Prayer.
