I. Welcome

Welcome to GNOSB Meeting — Matt, Rachel, Howard, Will, James, and Colin in attendance

II. Secretary’s Report / Approval of Minutes — Jack W.

Nothing to report from last business meeting except that the bank account with Whitney Bank is still being addressed

III. GNOSB Chair — Jack

2022 Committee Participation: SBRs, Trustees, Home Groups
Paneled for “Taco About Traditions” for District 20 at 3 Legacies location — informative event with former Area Delegate Terry E., Current Delegate Molly E., and Jordan, former DCM
Committees: T&C, CPC/PI, Website, Big Deep South, Budget & Finance, DAAY in the Park, Unity & Service

IV. Looking Forward

Web Committee (Tourné, Chair): Website needs upgrade to include ecommerce; back end needs work for easier announcements and emails; job description available
Big Deep South (Wesley, Chair): Did exceedingly well this year — over 575 participants. Good solid team taking over July 15 at wrap-up meeting. Thank you to Wesley for a job well done

VI. GNOSB Vice-Chair — Alexis B.

Bank still needs more information; Ray Y. helping get everything in order. Bank is requesting all 4 trustees be on the account

VIII. Treasurer’s Report — Ray Y.

IX. Central Office Updates — Ken

Email meeting reopening information, calendar updates, and virtual conference information to office@aaneworleans.org
Office is under new management; lease has not been finalized yet; plans to ask for carpet replacement
Reemphasized the need for the website to be updated
Considering closing the office on Saturdays due to slow business

X. DAAY in the Park — Ken T.

Scheduled for October 28, 10am–3pm at Bucktown Harbor Marina
Home groups encouraged to have a decorative table (voted on); costume contests for adults and children; food and beverages provided by Central Office

District 12 (Irvin): Two workshops in process, one on July 19 on sponsorship
District 17: Not present
District 18: Not present
District 19: Not present
District 20 (Colin): Recently hosted “Lets Taco About Traditions” — successful event. Planning New Year’s Party and a workshop about Service
Districts 21/23 (Will): Hosting workshop on Unity, July 15, 2pm–5pm. Aug 26: Neck Breakers celebrating 10 years

No report — chair out due to emergency.

XIII. Old Business

Bank still in process
Budget presented by Ray Y.; motion to accept by Will, seconded by Ken — unanimously approved, no abstentions

XIV. New Business

Will nominated for Chair position. Motion placed on floor to remove the required 4-year sobriety requirement (3 years 10 months) — unanimously approved, no abstentions
Motion for Will as Chair of GNOSB by Alexis, seconded by Ray Y. — approved, no abstentions. Will is elected Chair of GNOSB provided the bank does not need all 4 trustees on the account

Motion by Alexis, seconded by Ken, no abstentions. Closed at 7:22pm.
