III. GNOSB Chair — Jack

• The office needs volunteers to help with phones and merchandise
• Written reports from officers and chairs will no longer be accepted prior to meetings. Officers and chairs must attend; they may amend their report after the meeting via email to the Secretary

• Merchandise sales: $4,793.38 — $206.62 below budget, down 22%
• Group contributions: $2,718.98 — $47.69 below budget, down 6%
• Individual contributions: $174.26 — $34.07 below budget; Central Office Backers: $150, $58.33 below budget
• Gross profit: $4,921.55 — $261.78 below budget, up 91% from previous month
• Total expenses: $5,906.92 — $675.33 above budget
• Total cash on hand (excluding Big Deep South account): $49,629.26, including $24,890.43 in reserve. Net cash decrease of $2,665.85 from last month
• Inventory on hand: $21,319.13

• Always looking for volunteers — email or stop by during business hours
• Purchased the printer discussed at the January business meeting
• Physical inventory coming soon
• Increasing Spanish literature stock due to requests

VII. Big Deep South (BDS) — Wesley

• 2023 Theme: “OUR PICK STRUCK GOLD”
• Website up and taking registrations: bigdeepsouth.org
• Alternative tickets available for those in rehab centers
• Central Office will accept BDS registration with physical checks
• Next business meeting: April 5, 6:30pm at Unity Church (Eye Openers location)
• This is the 55th Big Deep South

VIII. Bingo Chair, Big Deep South — Marcy

• Bingo to be held the Friday night before BDS
• Donations can be brought to Central Office

IX. DAAY in the Park — Ken

• Committee is looking at holding the event the last weekend of October 2023

X. District 12 (Northshore) — Chic M., Alt DCM

• Recently increased the number of workshops on a variety of topics

XIII. District 19 (Metairie, Kenner)

• Working through guidelines and rewriting them for the district
• Working on getting workshops started; one idea: a traditions meeting
• Elections held for Grapevine and T&C chairs who had stepped down
• Helping Hands has a Speak ’n Eat April 25
• Spring Fling, April 29 at Bucktown Harbor

• Alexa elected Vice Chair by voice vote
• Tina announced a Speak n Eat for May 21, 5:00pm, Mulholland Church — “There Is a Solution” home group
• Discussion on open vs. closed meetings and balancing anonymity with welcoming newcomers; suggested topic for a future workshop
• Jack and Peter noted their terms as chair and secretary are ending; new trustees to be elected in May, taking office in June
• All non-current trustees to be removed from GNOSB and BDS bank accounts; Alexa added as new trustee
